Late Configuration
We consider late configuration to include some combination of supply chain management, paint application, assembly and post-paint processes.
The process will normally involve JIT delivery in returnable OEM packaging to line-side. For one of our many OEM customers we purchase engine components from a nominated low-cost source and then configure these on a JIT basis. For another customer programme we have created a bespoke facility to deliver individual vehicle kits that include a full range of sequenced exterior and interior components, controlling over 2500 variants within a 5 hour delivery window.
