Update on Environmental Upgrade to Paintbox Banbury Facility – 27th August 2010

Planning application made 17th June 2010 and through a rapid response by the Local Authority this was approved on 29th July 2010.

Work commenced on site and with initial favourable weather conditions the excavations are now prepared. Recent poor weather conditions have delayed the pouring of concrete, however allowance was made for the potential for poor weather in the plan so this has not caused any delays to the overall project timescales.

All work is being carried out under approved building regulations and independent engineers have submitted and had approved the necessary calculations in readiness for the arrival of the tanks and stack.

Paintbox expects a delivery date of the tanks and stack in the third week of September 2010.

Both civil and electrical work commenced on the Cherwell IV building on 13th August 2010 for the construction of the necessary ductwork and controls to supply the carbon filtration plant.

We will continue to keep you informed of progress.
